The sequel was inevitable, especially considering Moana was the most streamed movie of 2023, really not bad for a movie that was originally released in 2016. Auli’i Cravalho heads up the returning voice cast alongside Dwayne Johnson, with Temuera Morrison as Chief Tui, Rachel House as Gramma Tala, and Alan Tudyk as Heihei the rooster. And now, the live-action movie is currently filming with an expected release date of July 10, 2026.

One thing is certain, people love Sonic the Hedgehog and I am one of those people. The first two films in the video game adaptation franchise were a huge box office success, raking in a combined $725 million worldwide. With the release of the third film in December, director Jeff Fowler is attempting to catch lightning in a bottle one more time. When Team Sonic takes on Dr. Robotnik’s new secret weapon: Shadow, all the main cast will be reprising their roles, including James Marsden, Jim Carey, Ben Schwartz, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, and Idris Elba, while Keanu Reeves will join Sonic 3 to lend his voice to Shadow, which is a move that appears to be hugely popular with fans all over the world.

As a fan of the previous two movies, I’m excited by the idea of Paddington in Peru bringing Paddington’s story full circle as he returns to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy. Most of the gang is back for the third installment, though there has been a few key changes. Sally Hawkins has departed the franchise and has been replaced by Emily Mortimer. In addition Rachel Zegler has been replaced by newcomer Carla Tous, who will play the role of Gina Cabot. On the bright side, Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton are back as the voices of Paddington Bear and Aunt Lucy, respectively. Meanwhile Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, and Jim Broadbent are all returning. And astute fans may have noticed in the trailer, there are two more big stars joining the cast, in the form of Olivia Colman and Antonio Banderas. Colman will play the Reverend Mother, a character described as ‘a blithe and sunny guitar-playing nun who runs the Home for Retired Bears. Meanwhile, Antonio Banderas is a dashing riverboat captain known as Hunter Cabot who helps the Browns during their adventure in Peru.
