It’s a Brave New World for Captain America. Are you ready?

Captain America: Brave New World hits theaters tomorrow and I’ve got everything to get you ready for the upcoming Marvel film.

The fourth official Captain America film, titled Brave New World, is hitting theaters tomorrow night, and I’ve got everything you need to get caught up on what’s to come. Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), formerly known as The Falcon, is picking up the shield once more as the brand new Captain America following the events of the highly successful Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Though a lot is already known about Brave New World, Marvel promises that it is still packed with surprises.

Brave New World is hoping to ride the wave of the box-office success of last summer’s Deadpool and Wolverine, amidst kick-starting a jam-packed year of MCU movies, which will include Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four: First Steps. Brave New World finds Sam investigating the masterminds behind a disastrous international incident in the wake of the election of Thaddeus Ross as President of the United States.

As one of the most exciting upcoming Marvel superhero films and one of the last movies in Marvel Phase 5, I’m sure you’re hungry for more information, and I’m happy to oblige.

Here is all the information about Captain America: Brave New World to catch you up before the big event:

Captain America: Brave New World arrives in theaters tomorrow, Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025. Which makes it the perfect date night movie for all of us Marvel fans. And, even better than that, it’s only one day away.

Captain America: Brave New World Trailer

The trailer was released back in November during Disney’s D23 Brazil event. I have enclosed it above for your viewing pleasure; running at over two minutes long, the teaser gives us a very good look at the story line. After a terrorist attack, and with the world on the brink of war, the Captain has to pick up the shield. Plus, we also get to see the President transform into the Red Hulk.

Captain America: Brave New World Key Players

Clearly, Anthony Mackie, originally The Falcon, is back to pick up the shield as Captain America alongside The New Falcon, Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres. The new faces include Harrison Ford taking over the role of now President Thaddeus Ross/The Red Hulk from the late and wonderful actor William Hurt, and Giancarlo Esposito has been confirmed as the villain Seth Voelker, aka, Sidewinder.

Here are the rest of the key players:

Carl Lumbly – Isaiah Bradley

Shira Haas – Ruth Bat-Seraph/Sabra

Liv Tyler – Betty Ross

Tim Blake Nelson – Samuel Sterns/The Leader

There also have been rumors that Mark Ruffalo might be making an appearance as the Hulk, though I have not been able to confirm that, as of yet.

Captain America: Brave New World Plot

Brave New World is picking up where The Falcon and the Winter Soldier left off with Sam Wilson finally accepting the mantle of Captain America and a new friendship with Joaquin Torres also established.

The meaty, but scarce details known tell us there is going to be a significant crossover with the world of the Hulk, amidst our hero fighting a terrorist attack. For one thing Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) is back and transforming into the Red Hulk, and there are multiple characters returning from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. How that all plays out, remains to be seen, but hopefully it’s as fun as it looks.

Then there’s Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder, King of the Serpent Society. How his character plays into the equation looks to be interesting as well.
