Celebrating the Films and Characters that Make Movies Fun

Wolfs: Crime-Comedy Film Starring Clooney and Pitt | Apple Confirms Sequel

No stranger to action films that bring the fun, filmmaker Jon Watts (the MCU Spider-Man trilogy) has made an original crime-comedy movie with two of Hollywood’s biggest A-listers, set to star side by side. Movie goers are in store for Wolfs, a film in which two lone-wolf crime scene fixers realize they have both been hired to take on the same clean-up job. Jack (George Clooney) and Nick (Brad Pitt) will have to answer what happens when they are forced to work in close proximity, while finding themselves increasingly out of their depth.

Will they kill each other or become best friends?

If this seems right in the wheelhouse for these two actors, that’s purposeful. Watts is on record as stating the parts were written specifically for them. Jack and Nick is absolutely intended to play on audiences’ already existing associations with Clooney and Pitt of Ocean’s 11 fame.

But look for Wolfs to maximize the possibilities of getting Clooney and Pitt on screen together once more. Before the release of the first Wolfs installment, backing studio Apple has already confirmed that a Wolfs sequel is in development with Clooney, Pitt, and Watts set to return. Clearly, this is a sign that Apple believes in the upcoming Clooney-Pitt film, which will see a one-week limited theatrical run leading up to its global streaming release in late September.

Hopefully for audiences, this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

Wolfs will break into theaters September 20 and see a global streaming release of September 27.

This release strategy is incredibly annoying.

Yes sir. I’m not a huge fan either, but it seems to be the Apple strategy for the upcoming future. It’ll be interesting to see for how long.
